Before Leaving for AMF Germany Site:
- Submit a visit request via the ARM
Site Access Request System.
- Read AMF Germany Site Safety Plan.
Site Rules:
- Prior to your first physical visit to the AMF site, call on-site technician at +49 (0) 151-5217-3772 to schedule a time to meet on site. (Note: No need to dial "+49 (0)" while in Germany)
- On your first day on site, re-read AMF Germany Site Safety Plan and sign in acknowledging that you have read and agree to comply with the Safety Plan.
- Do not work at the AMF site alone - adhere to the "Two-Man Rule."
Hazard Control:
- Refer to AMF Germany Site Safety Plan for hazard control guidelines.
- Analyze any possible hazards before starting any work.
- Plan for the hazards.
- Stop work if there are any concerns for ES&H incidents.
Potential Hazards:
- Micropulse Lidar (MPL) is a Class 1 laser instrument.
- Pressurized gasses:
- Gasoline (petrol) shall be stored in proper containers.
- Stairs are on site for the instrument platforms - use them instead of ladders when possible.
- Thunderstorms and lightning.
- Refer to AMF Germany Site Safety Plan for a complete list of potential hazards at the AMF site.
Safety Equipment at Site:
- Emergency contact phone numbers posted in each van.
- AMF Site Safety Plan in A2 Van.
- Fire extinguisher in each van.
- First-aid kit, defibrillator in A2 Van.
- Safety glasses, gloves
in M1 Van.
- Dollies, rolling carts
for boxes and gas cylinders available.
- Ear protection available in A3 Van.
Local Transportation:
- Visitors are encouraged to use public transportation.
